Akademia Pandev – Lechia Gdansk

The North Macedonians put themselves in a very difficult position a week ago. The first game in Poland ended with a crushing 4-1 win for Lechia. This means that Akademija Pandev will need a miracle here if they want to progress to the second round.

Akademija Pandev’s head coach Gjorgje Stojchev admitted it would be difficult for his team to eliminate Lechia. Most likely he will try to make some changes in the starting eleven to refresh the line-up. Goran Tomovski, Sashko Pandev and Ilija Donov are among the options for Stojchev to be included in the starting eleven.

For Lechia Gdansk it looks much easier now to progress in the Conference League. The Polish club already did their job in the first leg, but they must remain focused in the second leg as well. We don’t expect to see the manager Tomasz Kaczmarek making many changes, but some players could be rotated. The German midfielder Christian Clemens and Ilkay Durmus could be in line to start in Strumica.
